First post as a Mom.....finally!

After 1st bath at home

Gabriel Lee Holmes has arrived. He was born April 28, 2009 at 10 32 am. He weighed 8lbs and was 19.5 inches long.

He is such a good baby :) He rarely cries- which is a blessing! He grunts a lot though. ha- That is his way of communicating so far.

He is so spoiled. He has been held so much by my family and friends he doesn't know any different.

Motherhood is great! It definitely comes with sacrifices- I can't remember the last time I actually ate lunch before 3 pm. If I need to run errands, I choose one place to go a day and I have to make sure I have left and am back home within 1 hour and a half for feedings. At night I am up every 2 hours to feed, so no more sleeping late.

It is all worth it though. :)

I will try and post more later- I am in the process of moving into a new apartment, and boxes are everywhere. Once I get in and settled, I can post more pics and details.

p.s. About labor- it actually was not that bad- My water broke around 2 am and I was pushing by 9 45am. It was all so surreal, and I still can not fathom this little breathing baby boy was inside of me.
