This will be a short post.  I have so many things I want to blog about, but there are not enough hours in the day.  Gabe and I had a great weekend.  He is so playful now.  Today he is 10 months. :)

Here is a pic of him at Target.  He enjoyed steering the buggy around the store.  (sun in his eyes)

Here's a recent pic from bath time....

And just a cute pic of him smiling

I will try to post again soon and write more-

Snow!

So, of course I have to do a post about the Snow....what kind of Alabamian would I be if I didn't?

Friday I was sitting at work anxiously awaiting the snow fall.....around 10:00 the pretty white flakes were falling.  By 12:00 I was out the door, due to "potentially icy roads"  I was planning on going home to Alex City, so I rushed home, loaded the car, and picked up Gabe, and off we went.  Traffic was pretty heavy, as I think most everyone was headed home after a half day.  I finally made it home, taking pictures all along the way....

Entrance to where I live-

Elkahatchee Road: (yes, that's the name of the road)

Parent's Driveway:

Now, onto the best part.....Gabe's first snow-  It didn't seem to phase him much.  He treated as anything else....thinking  "hmm, Can I eat this?"

The rest of the weekend I spent resting, baking, and loading pics onto my computer.

I made Cindy's suggestion of oreo truffles- so good.

1pkg of Double Stuffed Oreos- (crumbled)
1 8oz cream cheese
(Mix together)

Roll into balls- refrigerate overnight

Then- melt chocolate, dip, and drop onto wax paper.....

Yummy!

I also made- Cake balls-

Bake a box cake- whatever kind you would like (I did German Chocolate)

Let cook- then crumble, stir in appropriate icing, roll into balls, refrigerate for an hour or so, then drop into melted chocolate.

These are my favorite!

Yogurt Mountain

Ty's= Vanilla Yogurt, Peanut Butter Yogurt, Resee Pieces, Butterfinger, and Hot Fudge
Alison's= Vanilla Yogurt, Chocolate Yogurt, Rainbow Sprinkles, Whoppers crumbles, and Caramel Sauce

Sweet tooth?  Be sure to check out Yogurt Mountain.  It's located in the shopping center next to Whole Foods, quiet the experience I must say.   It is a really neat concept.  One wall is lined with an assortment of frozen yogurt dispensers (some of the flavors include: vanilla, chocolate, cake batter, bubblegum, cheesecake, rootbeer float, mint, mocha, pomegranate, cheesecake, and more!).  You grab a cup and fill in whatever you would like. (pay by the ounce) On the other side of the wall is a long table of every topping you can possibly think of.  Here is a list of the toppings:

Almonds

Animal Crackers                               Bananas
Butterfinger                                       Blackberries
Cherries                                            Blueberries
Chocolate Sprinkles                          Cantelope
Cinnamon Toast Crunch                    Cheesecake bits
Cocoa Pebbles                                 Chocolate Covered Raisens
Coconut Flakes                                Cookie Dough Bits
Crushed Graham Cracker                  Fudge Brownies
Dark Chocolate Chips                       Honey Dew
Fat Free Granola                               Kiwi
Fruity Pebbles                                   Mango
Golden Grahams                               Mini Cinnabons
Heath Bar                                         Mochi
Honey Almond Granola                     Peaches
Kit Kat                                              Pineapple
Lucky Charms                                   Raspberry
Mini Carmel Cups                              Snickers
Milk Chocolate Chips                        Strawberry
Mini Gummy Bears                            Hot Fudge Sauce
Mini M&M's                                     Caramel Sauce
Mini Reese's Pieces                           Marshmellow Cream
Mini Swedish Fish                              Honey
Oreo Cookies                                    Butterscotch
Peanuts
Pecans
Pop Tarts (strawberry and blueberry)
Pretzels
Rainbow Sprinkles
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Sour Patch Kids
Trail Mix
Twix
Vanilla Wafers
Walnuts
Whoppers

Whoa! Right?  I mean how are you to decide.  I didn't want to overwhelm my tastebuds, so I chose vanilla and chocolate yogurt with rainbow sprinkles, whoppers, and caramel sauce.  I will definitley have to go back to experiment different combinations.

New Ketchup Packet

I am one of those people that has to have ketchup with their fries, I just can't eat them without it.  So, if I am in a situation where I have to eat in my car, I don't even order fries, because there is no where to put the ketchup. Very frustrating.  I have seen people squeeze a line of ketchup on each individual fry, but I am not that coordinated.

Behold the new ketchup packet............

The new ketchup pack, unveiled Thursday by H.J. Heinz Co., is shaped like a shallow cup. The top can be peeled back for dipping, or the end can be torn off for squeezing. It holds three times as much ketchup as a traditional packet.

Heinz is rolling out the new packs this fall at select fast-food restaurants nationwide.  They will be more expensive, so we will have to see if they sale.  I will be looking forward to testing these out!
