Mini Scrapbook of the latest :)

This is me attempting to make the deer in the headlights face Gabe makes.....

Below are pics of Gabe's first time eating cereal (w/ me). Very messy!
His daycare has been feeding him cereal for about a week.  This boy eats like a champ :)
Gabe is still loving bath time- splashing, smiling, and kicking
I can not keep this boy on his back- He is rolling all over the place!  He somehow managed to pull the blanket over his head- I thought it was worth documenting!

Gabe had his 4 month well check up on Monday morning- He is 17lbs!  The doc said everything looked great!  Here is a pic of his Tazmanian Devil Bandaid from his vaccines :(

4 months old!

Can you believe Gabe is 4 months old already? (as of the 28th).  Wow- time is flying....he will be sitting on his own in 2 months, crawling in 4 to 5 months, and walking soon after that.  It seems like yesterday he would just stay in one spot staring at shadows on the wall.  So of course I took a pic yesterday morning on his bday- I let him pick out his outfit...notice it says "I heart mommy". ha- Also- I'm not sure what the deal is with his deer in the headlights face- He makes it all the time!  He kinda looks scared doesn't he? ha...

New Job!

Project and Administrative Coordinator for the Business Development Group at BBVA Compass

I interviewed for this position last Thursday and had a second interview today at 11:00. I received a call around 3 30 offering me the job! I am so thankful. Who would have thought I would stay in the banking industry?? But, its doing something I love to do....plan, coordinate, and organize. The position will involve: project planning, admin work...putting together power point presentations, as well as some event planning and coordinating. We will have weekly staff meetings with some of the "big wigs" of the company. I am very excited for this opportunity.

As most of you know, I have been praying for a new job to come along for a while now. This is at the perfect time, I am settled in a routine with Gabe, and his daycare tuition just happened to go up- which I was worrying about what I was going to do about that just last week. The raise will help cover the extra cost, so that is a huge blessing.

I will keep everyone posted on how it's going. I do not know my start date as of yet, but I imagine it will be in the next 2 weeks.

Some things I am nervous about: travel time to work (I will have to get up and get going a lot earlier than I am used to- so that means Gabe has to adjust as well), also working dowtown requires your attire to be "corporate wear" so no more comfy jeans and flip flops :( , and I realize I will get more comfortable with the position as the weeks go by, but I am nervous about not doing everything how they want it, I'm worried about being overwhelmed with the work load, this could be a position where I have to work late some days or possibly bring work home. I think the rewards will outweigh any of those concerns though.

Thanks to all those who have been praying for me- God is so faithful!

New additions to the Nursery!

Below is a painting Liz Wilbourne did for Gabe's room. I love it! She is so talented. This is exactly what I wanted and the room needed. I'm loving all the neutrals in the room, but it was def time for some color. I can't wait to hang it. - Thanks so much Liz! Gabe and I went to Painted BYU 2 weekends ago and had his footprints done :)

From Designer Jeans to Diaper Bags

You know that feeling when you find that perfect pair of designer jeans that are the perfect color, cover the perfect amount of your shoes and make your rear look oh so good?

Welcome to my world of diaper bags!

Oh- how my life has changed. I have to make a post about this recent purchase I made. I am so excited about it.

Here is my new StorkSak Designer Diaper Bag.......
Isn't it gorgeous?

These bags can range up to 400 or more dollars! I saw this one in Baby Gap while I was still pregnant and fell in love. However the 179 price tag kept me from rocking this from the get go. I knew Gap had a sale this past weekend, so I thought I would check it out.
Yes! It was still there AND.... the price tag from 179 had been marked down to 129.00 then put on clearance for 99.97 and THEN I got 30% off of that from the sale.
Such a good deal.
Its the perfect color for fall, has two insulated bottle pouches hidden on the side, a changing mat, and a detachable small handbag that fits inside so I can separate my goodies from Gabe's stuff :)

Here's the inside

And.....my friends Brad and Angie have one too :)
