Happy 4th of July!

I watched fireworks in ATL on Sunday night at a country club/golf course downtown.  It was so cool to be able to sit on the green and watch them.  We were literally right under them.

Monday, my Gabe returned to me and we dressed up in coordinating patriotic outfits for a mini photo shoot then went to a friend's to watch fireworks off the Vulcan here in Birmingham.  I thought he would be scared like he was last year, but he loved them!  He was wired until I laid him down at 11:30pm.  I know, I know- that's late. 

I don't know what I was doing- I hope it doesn't mean anything bad in sign language

P.S.  I am officially caught up!  Woop Woop.  My computer is not wanting to recognize my battery cord, so blogging today has been difficult as my comp keeps dying on me- I have been blogging off and on for 3 hours!  I documented my progression....

July 2011- ATL

Woo Hoo- I am almost caught up on here :)  Those who receive this via email, hopefully I will not be bombarding your inboxes anymore now that I am caught up.

4th of July weekend, G was with the C's so I hopped in the car and drove to Atl to see Cindy Belindy.  I knew I would go crazy just sitting at my place by myself.  It's too quiet without G around.  We layed out on Saturday and I got burned since I'm anti sunscreen....(I don't promote that by the way).  I even read!  I can't remember the last time I read, I never have time.  I almost finished Bruchko....it will probably take me a few more months to finish the remaining 3 chapters....

We stopped by Cami Cakes (I purchased Red Velvet and Bananas and Cream) and then had a yummy dinner at Two Urban Licks.  Yes, we had dessert first, well we actually had dessert after the meal too. ha

Ok, these would look 10x better if I had a decent camera.  They were soo good though!  It's salmon on top of a potato chip. mmm- they had a bit of a kick to them too

I forgot to take a pic of the carrot cake before, but as you can see, it was really good.

My beverage- (or one of them)

"Tickle my Pickle" It was pretty much a gin and tonic with infused cucumber.  I love cucumber and made an impulse decision and ordered.  It wasn't that great.  I think I'm just not a gin and tonic person. I quickly switched to white wine.
