New Job!

Project and Administrative Coordinator for the Business Development Group at BBVA Compass

I interviewed for this position last Thursday and had a second interview today at 11:00. I received a call around 3 30 offering me the job! I am so thankful. Who would have thought I would stay in the banking industry?? But, its doing something I love to do....plan, coordinate, and organize. The position will involve: project planning, admin work...putting together power point presentations, as well as some event planning and coordinating. We will have weekly staff meetings with some of the "big wigs" of the company. I am very excited for this opportunity.

As most of you know, I have been praying for a new job to come along for a while now. This is at the perfect time, I am settled in a routine with Gabe, and his daycare tuition just happened to go up- which I was worrying about what I was going to do about that just last week. The raise will help cover the extra cost, so that is a huge blessing.

I will keep everyone posted on how it's going. I do not know my start date as of yet, but I imagine it will be in the next 2 weeks.

Some things I am nervous about: travel time to work (I will have to get up and get going a lot earlier than I am used to- so that means Gabe has to adjust as well), also working dowtown requires your attire to be "corporate wear" so no more comfy jeans and flip flops :( , and I realize I will get more comfortable with the position as the weeks go by, but I am nervous about not doing everything how they want it, I'm worried about being overwhelmed with the work load, this could be a position where I have to work late some days or possibly bring work home. I think the rewards will outweigh any of those concerns though.

Thanks to all those who have been praying for me- God is so faithful!
