End of July/August begins

Last weekend I went to my parents house.  I slept in, took naps and laid out by the pool. Gabe got to ride a miniature horse, help feed the animals, ride the four wheeler and swim.  :)

I wish I had these on video- because you need to hear his cute little whisper.

One night I was lying next to Gabe trying to go to sleep and he whispers, (after it's been silent for 30 minutes or so in pitch black darkness), "Mommy, can we make cupcakes when it's sunny?"  Me: "Yes, Gabe, please go to sleep", "Ok, we will sleep then make cupcakes when its sunny" , Me: "Yes, Gabe, go to sleep!"

Another night: I wake up to Gabe saying "Mommy, Mommy, I want to go to the pool"  Me: (half out of it) "What??"  Gabe: "I want to go the pool right now"  (I look at my phone and it's 4am.............)  Sigh, I roll over and say "Gabe, go to sleep!"

Weekend....what what

This past weekend I went to the Magic City Brewfest with my friend Josephine.  I think they need to have this at least twice a year.  It was so much fun, met and saw lots of people and got to taste some great/unique beer.  I think my favorite was the new Strawberry beer released by Avondale brewery that day.  I love that Birmingham has brewery's popping up all over the place.  I also tried a Southern Pecan from Mississippi and all the other ones kind of run together....I heard there was peanut butter beer though- eek, don't think I would like that.  Here are pics from the day :)

April 2011- Out and About

One April outing I had consisted of going to Rogue Tavern and watching the Ryan Kinder Band play.  My friend Brooke's boyfriend plays in the band...So we like to pretend like we are groupies.   I had a ton of fun breaking it down on the dance floor. 

March 2011 Recap- Me

So, March was a good month.  1.  It was my birthday, although I am not big on birthdays, but I suppose I will give myself a shout out. (Woop Woop, March 7)  2. Gabe spent the night with the C's for the first time, and while this was hard for me, it also gave me some much needed "me" time.  He is supposed to spend the night the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month (when the C's don't cancel).

My friend Ty got married in March, so Brooke and I drove to Natchez, MS to attend the wedding. We made it back in one piece, despite my driving and even enjoyed chocolate covered strawberries along the way.
