I made it through my first week...

Sorry I have not posted sooner, but I have been exhausted!  I really enjoy my new job.  The day goes by so fast, because I am busy busy busy.  This past week I have been training on some reports I will be taking over in Excel, booked a flight for one of the execs, reserved 11 rooms at the Aloft hotel for a group of trainees coming in October, getting material/details ready for the training week, and currently in the process of planning a small party at the Wine Loft.  I went to my first weekly staff meeting on Tuesday, in which most of the discussion was over my head, but hopefully I will get the swing of it soon.  My calender is booked with upcoming meetings and conference calls.
Here is a description of what department I am in :  It's called  the Commercial Banking Business Development Group.  It covers businesses that range from 250,000 to 2.5 million.  The group is responsible for communications, marketing, reporting, etc.  That's what I have learned about it so far.....I'm sure there is more.
My desk is enclosed with a large window in which I have a 9th floor view of Sloss Furnace and the Red Mountain Expressway.....I love being able to see outside!  I really want to post a pic of this, but haven't taken one yet, because I didn't want others to think I was weird my first week there. ha- But check this post later on, I will insert a pic :)

Because of the extra commute, I am now getting up at 5:30....so early to me, trying to leave by 7 which really means I will leave by 7:10 7:15, so I can drop Gabe off and get to work by 8.  By the time I pick him up, its 6:00 before I get home.  Some nights this past week he went to sleep at 6:45/7:00ish, so I only got to see him for a little bit :(  Hopefully we will adjust and he will stay up a little later for me.

I will be cleaning all weekend.  It looks like a tornado came through my apt.  I just ddn't have the energy to keep up with it this week.  I will not insert pic here.

Thanks to all who have sent me texts, called, or emailed me asking about my new job!

Oh and click HERE to check out the Aloft Hotel in Soho Square- it looks so cool!

Please be praying for my friend Ty, he is somewhere in the 10/40 window with a group of people sharing the Word of Christ.  They have underground churches, since it is illegal to be a Christian.  He will be baptizing others in bathtubs after midnight in their home, in hopes to not be arrested.  I can't wait to hear what God has done when he returns.
